COMPANY HISTORY
The Engine Rooms was founded in 2007 to provide the residents of West Lancashire the opportunity to gain access to the Arts as a whole.
It took six months of hard voluntary labour and dedication to turn what was an empty industrial unit into the first phase of the superb facility it is now. The Engine Rooms has grown organically from a small recording studio to a successful live venue with space for instruction in all aspects of the arts, a recording studio, live rehearsal rooms and much more.
COMPANY PHILOSOPHY
In 2008 the Engine Rooms started the
Young Guns
Project.
Young Guns
provides an opportunity for young music students to join together and form their own bands. Bands rehearse over a 13 week period, working together to perfect each song.
This culminates in a series of concerts, where students perform to their family and friends. These live events are always extremely popular, and continually sell-out. It is an initiative that we are extremely proud of, that has the unfailing praise and support of all the families that are a part of the scheme.
As such, the
Young Guns
Project is a perfect example of the Engine Rooms central philosophy. Our aim is to bring communities closer together, using the Arts as a vehicle for facilitating positive change. At the Engine Rooms we dont just focus on children, we do everything we can to include all members of the local community by driving our projects towards live performances and community events.
